Beginning Ceramics spans 6 sessions (Every Thursday from January 28th-March 4th 6-730pm) and is tailored for ages 16 and up. This class provides a well rounded understanding of ceramic arts through hand building and wheel throwing techniques. This class will dive into pinch pots, coiling, slab building, wheel throwing, glazing, and attachment methods, with extra time for practice and project development. Sketchbooks included! You will leave this classes with your arms full of ceramic goodies you made!
Session 1: Introduction to Clay and Pinch Pot Technique
Session 2: Coiling Technique
Session 3: Slab Building Technique
Session 4: Personal Project and Wheel Throwing (Group A)
Session 5: Personal Project and Wheel Throwing (Group B)
Session 6: Glazing Party!
